How Giver makes money

Affiliate disclosure

Last updated October 15, 2026

Giver may earn a commission when you buy through links on this site or in the app, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Giver earns from qualifying purchases.

What this means

Giver is free to use. Some links in the Giver app and on usegiver.com are affiliate links: when you follow one and buy something, the shop may pay Giver a small share of the sale. You pay the same price either way.

We take part in affiliate programs including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, Awin and CJ, and may join others, such as programs run by individual retailers. As an Amazon Associate, Giver earns from qualifying purchases.

How it affects what we show

  • Picks are ranked by fit, not commission. In the app, gift ideas are ranked by how well they match the person you’re shopping for: their interests, wishes, restrictions, your budget and the occasion. Commission rates are not part of that ranking.
  • Guides are written for the reader. We choose gifts for our guides because we think they suit the person the guide is about. Shops can’t pay to be included.
  • Prices are typical, not promised. Price ranges in our guides are what an item usually costs. The shop’s page has the current price.
  • Links are marked. Shop links on this site carry rel="sponsored", as search engines ask, and every guide shows this disclosure above its picks.
