Terms of service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mikas Karanauskas, Anglų g. 17, Vilnius, LT-11332, Lithuania, Lithuania (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Giver app and the website usegiver.com. By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Who can use Giver

You must be at least 16 years old. You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

2. Your content

You own what you add to Giver: your gift profile, profiles you write for others, notes and your username. You give us permission to store and display it to the people you allow, and to process it to provide Giver (for example, to generate gift ideas). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

If you write a gift profile for someone who isn’t on Giver, only add information you have good reason to believe they’d be happy to share for choosing gifts.

3. Community rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not:

  • harass, bully, threaten or impersonate anyone;
  • use a username or photo that is offensive, sexual, hateful or misleading;
  • post anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • send spam, create fake accounts, or scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service;
  • add information about someone else that you know they wouldn’t want shared.

You can block and report anyone from the ••• menu on their profile. We review reports within 24 hours, and may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

4. Gift ideas and shop links

Gift ideas in the app and in our gift guides are suggestions, and the ones in the app are produced partly by an AI system from what people share. They can be wrong or unsuitable, so use your own judgment, especially around allergies, sizes and restrictions.

Products are sold by third-party shops, not by us. Prices, availability and delivery are set by those shops and can change; price ranges in our guides are typical prices, not offers. Always check them on the shop’s site before you buy. Any purchase is between you and the shop, under its terms.

Giver earns a commission when you buy through links in the app or on this site, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Giver earns from qualifying purchases. See our affiliate disclosure.

5. Availability and changes

Giver is free. We work to keep it running, but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features; if we make significant changes to these terms, we’ll tell you in the app before they take effect.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or as described on the account deletion page. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for products bought from third-party shops.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania. If you live in the EU, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your own country. If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@usegiver.com so we can try to fix it.

9. App stores

If you downloaded Giver from the Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these terms don’t cover something.
