Delete your Giver account
In the app (fastest)
- Open Giver and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings).
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately. If you signed up with Apple, you’ll be asked to confirm with Apple first, so we can also remove Giver’s access to your Apple ID.
Without the app
Email hello@usegiver.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Giver account” and your username. We’ll confirm and delete the account within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account, username and sign-in details
- Your gift profile and every answer in it
- Your friends and friend requests, blocks, and profiles you wrote for other people
- Your wishlist, saved gifts, calendar and reminder settings
- Your gift searches and link clicks, and gift searches others made for you
- Your friends’ labels, saved gifts and birthday entries for you
What we keep
- Reports you filed about other users, without the link to your account, to protect our community.
- Encrypted backups can contain deleted data for up to 7 days before they are overwritten.
